Spruce Pine Main Street and Penland School of Crafts are excited about 2012′s Fire On the Mountain in Downtown SprucePine, NC April 28th. We expect another great turn out of blacksmiths and visitors. Blacksmithing has deep roots in Western North Carolina. The Fire on the Mountain Festival will both honor and celebrate its history and broaden awareness of quality contemporary iron work. Experience a day of forging techniques and ferrous materials.
This festival is a great event for families, kids, artists, and metal workers. Hands on tent. Live Demonstrations. Sell your work. Network with other blacksmiths. Shop for tools. Demonstrate your technique. And much much more….

To participate, complete the entry form, include a check or money order made out to Spruce Pine Main Street for the exhibit space and mail to the Spruce Pine Main Street office by March 9th. If accepted for the event, you will receive a confirmation letter with detailed information on the event and other activities during the festival. NO REFUNDS will be given once your space has been confirmed.
